Fingal Bay: A Great Coastal Experience

If you are looking for the perfect weekend getaway on the coast, Fingal Bay is the place to be.

It is a mere one-hour drive from Newcastle, or three hours from Sydney CBD. Fingal Bay is the eastern-most suburb in the Port Stephens community.

Coastal Location

Fingal Bay’s coastal location is the ideal spot, where you can smell that beautiful salty sea breeze from your coastal unit right across the road from the beach and relax.

With sprawling beaches and sparkling sunshine, there is no better place to spend your holiday. It has a laidback atmosphere, friendly locals, and idyllic scenery.

But wait…there’s more!

It doesn’t matter what time of the year you visit Fingal Bay; there is always something to see and do.

Spend a day at the beach, dipping your toes in the water and maybe reclaiming your youth with a friendly sand-castle competition.

Explore the Waters

Go out a little further, with cruises getting you up close and personal with dolphins and whales. Their most active season is from May to October, although you will always have a fantastic view of the Port Stephens coastline.

Explore the Land

Take to the land with a walk through the Tomaree National Park, and see how many critters you can find.

Local markets, free seminars, and exhibits are also on offer, so check what’s coming when you make your bookings.

Don’t just pass-through Fingal Bay, stay a while and spend your nights in their luxurious resort-style accommodations. Units are self-contained, and have enough space for you and your family – or all the great souvenirs you will be getting to remember your trip! Some accommodations are wheelchair-accessible, including everything you could want or need to feel safe and secure in your travels.

It is also a great choice if you want to visit some of the surrounding areas, including world-famous Hunter Valley vineyards and restaurants, Nelson Bay, Newcastle and Tea Gardens to name a few.

Venture out on day trips, knowing you can retire at night to the peace and quiet of your own unit.

Australia is one lucky country. We have beautiful weather all year round, and Fingal Bay is one among many that showcase the best.

From summer to winter, the weather will never stop you from having a great time.

Fingal Bay is a tourist destination in and of itself, but it is also close to other great locations. Coaches operate daily, letting you experience your surroundings without having to rent a car and drive yourself.
