What Can Your Seniors Card Do For You?

The Australian Seniors Card scheme is free to obtain, and enables cardholders to access transport concessions and discounts from various participating Government and private businesses.

Benefits

Every state or territory in Australia has their own version of the Seniors Card scheme, with each one offering members concessions on services including, but not limited to:

Motor Vehicle Registration

Keeping active is important, especially as we get older, so when it comes to your car, you want it in tip-top shape. Enjoy discounts on registering your car, as well as check-ups and replacements, from batteries and air-conditioning, to tyres and tints.

Concession Fares on Public Transport (Buses, Trains, and Trams)

You will also be eligible for free travel or ticket discounts on public transport options, with the Seniors Card often doubling as a tap-card for ease of use.

Health

Look after yourself with a discount at gyms, leisure and aquatic centres, and don’t forget to follow it up with a relaxing session at the spa.

Recreation and Education

Enjoy a day out without breaking the bank. Seniors Card benefits include discounts on food and drinks, shopping, and events. Or you can relax at home with a percentage off an online newspaper subscription.

Rebates

The cost of living continues to rise every year. To assist you in this, the Seniors Cards often offer concessions and rebates on levies, water rates, and licences, among others.

Holiday and Travel

Enjoy a discount off participating accommodations across the state/territory and the country, with anywhere between 10-40% off room bookings. Various attractions are also available to enjoy at lower prices upon presentation of your Seniors Card, letting you enjoy the most of your day off or holiday.

Competitions

Who doesn’t love to win a competition? With the prize pool limited to those with a valid Seniors Card, your chances are looking good. Prizes range from meal tickets, to gift vouchers, and even multi-night holidays away!
